Erin Palmer is a collaborative pianist and vocal coach at Wingate University near Charlotte, North Carolina, where she maintains a busy performing and coaching schedule. This is her third summer as a repetitor for the American Institute of Musical Studies. She has collaborated with many prominent organizations in the southeastern United States, including Atlanta Opera, Opera Carolina, and Capitol City Opera. She has also been an accompanist for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Prior to her position at Wingate, Erin was a pianist and coach at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her playing is featured on the GSU University Singers’ album Evening Hymn (Gothic Records.)
Erin has participated in numerous festivals including the American Institute of Musical Studies in Austria, SongFest, the Eastern Music Festival, and the Roger Vignoles Mentoring Program for Vocal Coaches at Vanderbilt University. While in graduate school she studied abroad in Paris and later completed the A1 coursework at the Alliance Française d’Atlanta. Erin holds performance degrees from Valdosta State University. She grew up in Douglas, Georgia, where she was a Torchbearer for the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta.
