Pianist Mark Alexander’s performances have been called “technically brilliant” and “full of expressive beauty”. He has won numerous competitions and has performed in recital and with orchestras throughout the United States, Mexico and Austria. He has performed with William Warfield and was also heard on NPR’s Performance Today with baritone Timothy Jones on a historic broadcast from the Alamo. He is a also regular performer on “John Kolody’s Comedy
Abend”. Mark has been a repetitor for the American Institute of Musical Studies for eight years. He teaches at San Antonio College and St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. He holds a M.M and D.M.A from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.M. from the University of Michigan. Mark is a native of Caledonia, Michigan.
