German Language Coordinator
Werner Haas received his PhD from Karl-Franzens-Universität in Graz, Austria, and taught German at the Akademisches Gymnasium in Graz before moving to the United States. He taught at Springfield College; the University of Massachusetts; and Middlebury College. Werner was Professor of German at the Ohio State University from 1967 – 1997, and was a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the United States Air Force Academy from 1980 – 1981. He is now Professor Emeritus of German at the Ohio State University.
He is the author of Decu/Tuco (CAI) computer language programs, of Aus deutscher Geschichte; Bismarck; Die Deutschen und die Österreicher; Deutsch für alle; Sprechen wir darüber, Deutsch immer besser, and German, a Self-Teaching Guide, the textbook for the German Course at AIMS.
Werner has coordinated German Language teaching at AIMS for over 30 years.
