Anna van de Woestijne
Anna van de Woestijne, soprano, was born in Vienna where she studied musicology, Italian, and vocal pedagogy. She also studied ancient music at the Landeskonservatorium Graz with Prof. Mag. Margret Bogner and Mag. Marbara Fink. Master courses with Gill Feldman, Maria Christina Kiehr and Kurt Widmer enriched her interpretation of ancient music and art song. As a Member of the Arnold Schoenberg Chor she worked with Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Daniel Harding, Heinz Holliger, Claudio Abbado and Ivor Bolton. After several concerts in church and Lied recitals, her operatic debut was 2010 in Graz as Serpina in La serva padrona. Other roles where Liesl in Der Rauchfangkehrer (Salieri), Oberto in Alcina, Dido in Dido and Aeneas, and Diane in Actéon. Anna is married and in 2016 her son Maurits was born.
