Cosimo Conti
Oboe

Cosimo Conti was born in Florence in 1996, he obtained a Diploma Vecchio Ordinamento Oboe at the “Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini” (FI), simultaneously attending Maestro Paolo Grazia’s class at the “Scuola di Musica di Fiesole” (FI).

He has attended numerous Masterclasses (HJ Schellenberger, Paolo Grazia, Paolo Pollastri, Ivan Podyomov, Francesco Di Rosa, Luca Vignali, Christian Schmitt). He has collaborated with the “Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini” under the baton of James Conlon, with the “Orchestra Giovanile dei Conservatori Italiani” and with the “Orchestra Giovanile Italiana “ (playing with renowned conductors and musicians such as Daniele Gatti, Daniele Rustioni, Kolja Blacher and Giovanni Sollima).

He then pursued his studies with Francesco Di Rosa at the “Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia” in Rome.

From 2019 on, he collaborated with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, Swiss Chamber Concerts (playing with Sergio Azzolini and Emanuel Abbühl) and Orchestra da Camera di Perugia. In September 2022 he played in Malaga Filarmonica Orchestra’s Season with his Woodwind Quartet.

After completing a Master Performance degree at the Hochschule für Musik Basel in the class of Emanuel Abbühl, Cosimo continued to expand his experience as an orchestra musician, recently playing as a supplementary in the oboe section of Kammerorchester Basel (dir. Giovanni Antonini).
