Eric Plewinski
Percussion

Eric Plewinski is an active freelance percussionist and educator in the DC/MD/VA area.  He currently is principal percussionist of the Grammy-nominated Inscape Chamber Orchestra. Eric can be heard on multiple recordings with Inscape on the Sono Luminus label.

His performance schedule included such groups as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Orlando Philharmonic, Virginia Symphony, Maryland Symphony, and the Washington Chorus.

Eric is currently on faculty at Washington College where he teaches lessons and directs the percussion ensemble.  Additionally, he coaches various high school and middle school percussion programs in the Fairfax County, VA and Anne Arundel County, MD school districts.

Eric received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Florida and his Master of Music degree at the University of Maryland, College Park. Eric resides in Annapolis, MD and outside of music he is an avid sailor.  He enjoys his time sailing the Chesapeake Bay on a 34-foot Tartan sailboat with his wife, Cara.  Additionally, Eric enjoys cooking, paddleboarding, and golf.
