Erika Wagner, mezzo-soprano, was born in Salzburg, Austria.
She has won several prizes at youth competitions, both as a singer as well as a pianist and was recently a finalist at the Grandi Voci Vocal-Competition in Amerang, Germany.
Ms. Wagner has taken part in masterclasses with Norman Shetler, KS Angelika Kirchschlager, and is currently attending the studio of KS Grace Bumbry. She took German and English at Paris-Lodron-University, Salzburg, before she entered the Richard-Wagner-Conservatory in Vienna with a scholarship, where she is now studying with Prof. Markus Hofmann.
Ms. Wagner has performed in various festivals and recitals around Austria, Denmark, Germany, Italy and Japan. Her operatic experiences include roles in The Magic Flute, The Barber of Seville and performances in various operas by Verdi, Donizetti, Puccini and Bizet.
Being a German and Japanese native speaker, she had many opportunities to work as a TV coordinator, medical interpreter, musical interpreter and as an instructor for lyrics of German Lied and opera.
