Filip Czarkowski
Trumpet
Filip Czarkowski was an acting member of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in the 2024-2025 season. He has also performed with the San Francisco Symphony, the San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Ballet, Oakland Symphony and the California Symphony. Prior, he was the second trumpet of the Carmel Symphony Orchestra for two seasons. Throughout his summers he’s been a fellow at various festivals such as The Music Academy of The West, Texas Music Festival, Miami Music Festival, and many others. He’s appeared as principal trumpet in several orchestras around the world under the batons of Riccardo Muti, Gerard Schwarz, or Hans Graf.
Filip began playing the trumpet at the age of 9, and later joined the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra in 2014. He holds his undergraduate degree from the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University, and pursued graduate studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Filip has been lucky to study with many accomplished trumpeters, with his major teachers including Dr. Travis Heath, David Bilger, and Adam Luftman.
