Florence Wang Conrad is a graduate of SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts, where she was on a full artist scholarship as a pupil of Chee-Yun and won the SMU Meadows Concerto Competition.
Mrs. Conrad has been a frequent contributor to many of the Dallas area’s active chamber series, performing multiple times with both Ensemble 75 and Avant Chamber Ballet, as well as the Open Classical Artist Series.
As an orchestral musician, she has been newly appointed as the acting assistant concertmaster of the 2018-19 season of the Dallas Opera Orchestra. She has also performed with the Dallas Symphony, the Fort Worth Symphony, the Charleston Symphony, and was concertmaster during the Tanglewood Music Center contemporary music festival.
She has also attended in a number of summer music festivals, including Tanglewood Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, as well as Spoleto USA Festival, Sarasota Music Festival and Utah Festival Opera.
