
Hannah Messenger
Horn
Hannah Messenger is a horn player and educator based in Boston, MA. She currently serves as second horn of the Worcester Symphony Orchestra and third/assistant principal horn in the Du Bois Orchestra of Cambridge, MA and has an active freelancing career across New England.
Hannah believes strongly in the importance of community engagement for classical musicians. While studying at New England Conservatory she worked with the Community Performances and Partnerships Office through their teaching and ensemble fellowships. She also held an internship with Music for Food, an organization dedicated to using music to fight food insecurity locally. With Music for Food she assisted in planning and marketing fundraising concerts and taken the lead on organizing community performances, both virtually and in person, by conservatory students at food pantries and retirement communities in Boston’s Back Bay.
Hannah holds a Master of Music in horn performance from New England Conservatory and dual bachelor degrees from Case Western Reserve University in music and physics. Her primary teachers include Jason Snider, Meghan Guegold, and Eli Epstein.
