Hannah Spear, violin, recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro under Marjorie Bagley, and will continue her studies with I-Hao Lee at DePaul University in the Fall. During her time in North Carolina, she consistently held leadership positions in school ensembles, soloed with the UNCG Sinfonia, and regularly performed with ensembles around the state including the Greensboro Symphony, Greensboro Opera, and the Asheville Symphony. Hannah is active in new music and has performed with Petr Kotik’s S.E.M. Ensemble and UNCG’s Casella Sinfonietta, as well as frequently collaborating with composers and artists of other disciplines. In past summers she has attended Charles Castleman’s Quartet Program, the Brevard Music Center, Round Top Festival Institute, and most recently was a fellow at the National Repertory Orchestra.
