Jintak Kim

Born in Korea, Jintak Kim is a rising strings performer, founder of numerous chamber ensembles, including the prize winning Bote quartet, the Vivant string quartet and Flute trio team. Jintak is an active orchestral performer, previously playing as a guest member with the Wonju Philharmonic Orchestra and the Lake Symphony, Herald Philharmonic Orchestra, Goyang youth orchestra as principal, Paju youth orchestras as principal, and as a soloist he performed with the Ukrainian Symphony Orchestra, Accel Youth Orchestra and the Korean Catholic Symphony Orchestra, and he currently plays with the Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra.

Jintak has won many competitions and scholarships, including the Haneum Music Competiton, Han Yae Concours, Korea & China Cultural Exchange Society Concours, Shinye Music Competition, Global Young Artist Concour, Chung Ang Univeristy Foundation Full Scholarship, Korean National University of Arts Merit Scholarship.

Completing his Bachelor’s degree at the Chung Ang University, his Artistic Diploma degree in the Orchestral Repertoire Department at the Korean National University of Arts, Jintak is currently studying for his MA in Viola Performance at the Royal Academy in London.
