Jordan Gunn, cello, will graduate from the Eastman School of Music in the studio of Steve Doane and Rosemary Elliott in May of 2019. During her time at Eastman, Jordan received the prestigious Performer’s Certiﬁcate, while serving as the principal cellist of the Eastman Philharmonia. She is the founding cellist of the Lilac String Quartet which in 2019 won 2nd prize in the MTNA National Competition (String Chamber Music Division), as well as performed in many faculty and honors recitals during their formation at Eastman. Jordan has attended festivals such as the Interlochen Center for the Performing Arts, California Summer Music, Le Domaine Forget de Charlevoix, and the Bowdoin International Music Festival, and last summer received full scholarship as a fellow at Madeline Island Chamber Music. Jordan grew up in Champaign, Illinois, and is returning home for the 2019-2020 academic year.
