Laura Hourt studied violin in southern California with David Margetts and Lori Ulanova. She played in the Pacific Symphony, Irvine Symphony and South Coast Symphony. As a free-lance musician, she also performed with the William Hall Master Chorale, the Orange Coast Master Chorale, and the Opera Orchestra of Los Angeles. After moving to Illinois, she was a member of the Illinois Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonia da Camera at the University of Illinois, Peoria Symphony, Woodstock Mozart Festival, and Illinois Opera. Now living in Arizona, Laura plays with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and True Concord Voices and Orchestra. Laura enjoys playing tennis and is a cat lover.
