Laura Sacks

Laura Sacks is a New York City based freelance violist. Ms. Sacks enjoys a multifaceted career spanning many genres- from classical to jazz to pop music. Ms. Sacks has performed in many prominent venues throughout New York City such as Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Town Hall, and the Beacon Theater. Laura has attended the Aspen Summer Music Festival where she performed with the Aspen Festival Orchestra alongside world famous soloists and conductors. Performance highlights include playing alongside Glenn Dicterow at Carnegie Hall, joining the The Eagles on their 2018 North American Tour and touring japan with the New York Symphonic Ensemble. TV performances include NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice” and Saturday Night Live. Ms. Sacks also played violin and viola as a member of the house band on  NBC’s “Maya and Marty.”

Born in Fairfield, Connecticut, Ms. Sacks received a Bachelors and Masters degree from New York University in viola performance and music education. Ms. Sacks received a second Masters degree from the Manhattan School of Music in classical viola performance.
