Madeline Meier
Summer Administrative Assistant

Madeline Meier is a Soprano and a current undergraduate student at Montclair State University, receiving a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, studying under Dr. Lori McCann. She is also receiving a Bachelor of Arts in German and a minor in French. Madeline received the Montclair-Graz Sister-Cities Scholarship through Montclair State University, which is a full-tuition study-abroad scholarship, through which she is studying at the Kunstuniversität Graz in Austria this academic year (2018-2019).

Madeline has participated in the Astoria Music Festival in Astoria, Oregon, and also participated as a young artist in OperaWorks in Los Angeles, and the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. She was also accepted into the German for Singers intensive language/singing program at Middlebury College in Vermont, where she received the Kade Foundation merit-based Grant. She has participated in many concerts and has played several operatic roles, including Serpetta in La finita giardiniera, Cunégonde in Candide, Second Spirit in Die Zauberflöte, and the Apprentice in composer Tim Stephen’s world-premiere of Ransom!! Madeline also was honored to be a finalist and prize winner at the Eastern Region NATS competition in 2018, and was a finalist in the Emerging Artist Solo Competition through the Oregon Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra in 2016.

Madeline served as the vice president of the German Honors Society at Montclair State, and is currently a student representative of the music department there. She teaches young children music through the non-profit organization Succeed2gether in Montclair, NJ, and she maintains a small vocal studio in Rutherford, NJ. She is delighted to be returning to AIMS in beautiful Graz as a Summer Administrative Assistant.
