Nathanael Turner
Violin

Nathanael Turner is a violinist from the Pittsburgh area. He completed a BM in violin performance under Dr. Mikylah Myers at West Virginia University. In Fall 2022, he will attend Duquesne University for an MM performance degree. From 2016-2018 he was a first violinist in the Three Rivers Young People’s Orchestra where he was coached by and received masterclasses from members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, such as Jeremy Black, Dennis O’Boyle, Charlie Powers, Bronwyn Banerdt, and Mikhail Istomin. In 2018 they completed a tour of Central Europe under John Wilcox during which they played in Vienna’s MuTH, Budapest’s Vigadó, and were featured on the Rudolfinum’s concert season, appearing in Dvořák Hall. He twice won a position in the PSO’s EQT student side-by-side, and played in numerous community and semi-professional orchestras, including the Pittsburgh Philharmonic. He first attended AIMS in 2019.
