Polina was born in Moscow, Russia and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance with Jimmy Brière at the University of Montréal. In 2014 , she received 3 rd prize in the Sorel Maison de La Musique Competition in the under 25 category and was a finalist in
Montreal’s Bourse Kaleidoscope . She performs regularly in Montreal as both a soloist and collaborative pianist, and has a monthly solo-piano residency at Montreal’s Bar Bily Kun Soirée Classique . Polina was the pianist for Massenet’s Cendrillon at the 2015 Halifax Summer Opera Festival and, in the summer of 2017, travelled to Weimar, Germany, as an apprentice-répétiteur for Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, for which she received a Professional Development Grant from the Canada Council for the Arts . This year, as a recipient of Montreal’s Jeunes Volontaires stipend, Polina completed a video-recording project at Montreal’s prestigious Chapelle Historique du Bon Pasteur featuring both solo piano and voice-piano works by Robert Schumann and Franz Liszt. In the summer of 2018, she worked as a pianist for the Lachine International Vocal Academy and the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute in Montreal.
