Alex Norberg
Cello
Alex Norberg is a Boston-based cellist and active freelancer throughout New England. He recently completed a Master of Music in Cello Performance at Boston University, where he studied with Boston Symphony Orchestra cellist, Mihail Jojatu. He has completed summer musical studies at Sitka International Cello Seminar in Alaska, Bowdoin International Music Festival in Maine, and is thrilled to be spending this summer in Graz.
Alex is a member of the Boston Chamber Symphony and a consistent substitute cellist with the Cape Symphony. He frequently collaborates with music artist, Gem Club, and can be heard on their new album: Emerald Press, and recent single: Tend— which was featured on the season 20 finale of Grey’s Anatomy.
In addition to performing, Alex is also a Teaching Artist at Bridge Boston Charter School, an El Sistema-inspired program in Roxbury, where he enjoys working with over 100 string students every day!
