Annaliese White is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Double Bass Performance from the Eastman School of Music, studying under Professor James VanDemark. While at Eastman, she regularly performs as principal of the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra, working with conductors such as Anthony Parnther, Mei-Ann Chen, and Tito Muñoz. During the 2024-2025 academic year, she became a member of the Empire Film and Media Ensemble under the direction of Mark Watters, performing award winning films, such as Titanic and Elf, live-to-picture. Annaliese also takes a strong interest in exploring different genres of music and is a founding member of the New Music Collective, a club dedicated to creating a collaborative space for fellow musicians to perform original works of rock, pop, folk, and fusion.
Outside of Eastman, she is a member of the Greater Rochester Women’s Philharmonic and has performed with the Genesee Symphony Orchestra, Center Stage Pops, and has done multiple volunteer recitals at senior living homes in the area.
When she is not performing on stage, Annaliese can be found reading her favorite books, perfecting her juggling skills, and spending time in the gym.
