Christina Haan
Vocal Coach - Opera

Teaching Philosophy
Since every person is different, I  meet students where they are, with their own set of strengths and weaknesses, and we work together from that point.
I encourage them to release tension in their body, allowing free and natural singing. Every person can improve their languages: good diction leads to good singing!

A native of Oregon, Christina Haan now makes her home in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has extensive experience in opera, musical theater, solo piano, solo organ, and chamber music. Dr. Haan has worked as a coach for many opera companies and university programs, including Cincinnati Opera, Dayton Opera, Portland Opera, Kentucky Opera, The Opera Theatre of Lucca, Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, The Ohio State University, Portland State University, Miami University of Ohio, and the University of Louisville. She currently is a coach/collaborative pianist at Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, where in addition to her coaching studio, she teaches Diction and Vocal Repertoire; she is also the organist at Knox Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, where she regularly performs major choral works and organ concertos.
