Eli Stefanacci
Oboe
Eli Arbabzadeh Stefanacci is the principal oboe of the Detroit Opera Orchestra. He performs with orchestras around Michigan, including the Ann Arbor Symphony and Jackson Symphony. During his undergraduate degree, Stefanacci won the 2019 Atwater Kent Concerto Competition, and performed the Mozart Oboe Concerto in C, K.314 with the UCLA Philharmonia at LACMA and on the Classical KUSC radio station. He also was a member of the Gluck fellowship for three years, performing outreach chamber music gigs in the Greater Los Angeles Area. Eli was a member of the Zephyrus Trio, who were finalists in the Classics Alive Competition in 2018, quarterfinalists and semifinalists in the Fischoff National Chamber Music competition in 2019 and 2020 respectively, and Beverly Hills National Audition Finalists during the 2020-2021 season. He completed Masters’ degrees in performance and chamber music at the University of Michigan, studying with Dr. Nancy Ambrose King. Previously, he completed his Bachelor’s of Music at UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music with Dr. Jonathan Davis.
