Enrico Busia is an Italian tenor specializing in early music. He performed the title role in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo in New York (2025) and the Czech Republic (2024), as well as the roles of Pastore and Apollo in the same opera at several venues in Greece and Italy.

Recent engagements also include Monteverdi’s Vespers in Oslo and the role of Testo in Monteverdi’s Combattimento in Reykjavik and Florence. He has appeared as a soloist at various festivals, including the Roma Baroque Festival, Operudagar Reykjavik, Autunno in Musica Treviso, Amici della Musica Padova, Flo.re Florence, Hortus Festival Leghorn, and the Festival de Música BAC Credomatic in Costa Rica.

With professional vocal ensembles, he has performed at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Stadtcasino Basel, Die Glocke Bremen, Teatro Comunale di Ferrara, among other venues.

After initial studies in his hometown of Florence, he earned a Bachelor of Music in classical singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig under Prof. Carola Guber. He then completed a Master of Music in Baroque singing/Early Music at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen, studying with Gemma Bertagnolli, Peter Kooij, and Bettina Pahn. In 2022–2023, he attended the AVES (Advanced Vocal Ensemble Studies) program at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland, under the guidance of Paul Agnew, Stratton Bull, and Björn Schmelzer.

In addition to his musical education, he studied Linguistics at the University of Florence and holds a certification as a language coach for opera singers from the Università per Stranieri di Siena (DITALS I). He has also taught Italian as a foreign language at Adult Education Centers in Bremen and Oldenburg.
