Eric Farnan
Librarian
Eric Farnan enjoys a varied musical career as Ensemble Librarian at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Festival Librarian for Chamberfest Cleveland, and as a double bass and electric bass performer. He previously served as Library Access and Public Services Manager and Ensemble Librarian at the Cleveland Institute of Music and as Orchestra Librarian with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra. Farnan has performed with the Akron, Canton and Firelands Symphony Orchestras and is a section member of the Mansfield Symphony. He freelances widely in the area, has taught private electric and double bass lessons, planned and organized public performances, and appeared as a speaker in multiple concerts with Chamberfest Cleveland that included a live broadcast on WCLV and a performance at the Chautauqua Institution. He is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music where he studied classical double bass with Donald Palma.
