Gabrielle Gans
Violin
Gabrielle Gans is a versatile violinist recognized for her work as an orchestral artist, soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. She began studying violin and piano at the age of four and has obtained a Bachelor’s in Music degree at Shenandoah University under the direction of Akemi Takayama, where she was a scholarship recipient. Gabrielle won the 2024 Shenandoah University Concerto Competition and the 2023 Eastern Music Festival Concerto Competition. She has also been accepted into the AIMS festival and the DaPonte String Quartet Institute for the summer of 2025. She has performed as a soloist at the Gindi Auditorium with conductor Shardad Rohani and the AVA Chamber Orchestra. An active orchestral musician, she currently works with the Roanoke Symphony, and has worked with the American Youth Symphony, 20th Century Fox Studios, California Young Artists Symphony, and the New Orchestra of Washington. In 2023, she toured Argentina with the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. Beyond classical music, Gabrielle is a member of the band Swansong, where she explores a variety of musical styles. She sees music as a powerful tool for beauty and emotional expression.
