Jackson Chang
Violin
Jackson Yu-Chieh Chang is a dedicated violinist passionate about making classical music more accessible to all. He has received several awards in Taiwan’s National Student Music Competition across several categories. In 2018, he made his solo debut at Soochow University’s Song-Yi Hall, performing Elgar’s Violin Concerto with the Sound of String orchestra. Jackson graduated from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Professor Laurie Carney, founding member of the American String Quartet, whose teaching has deeply shaped him through her warmth, care, and love for music. He will pursue his master’s degree at New England Conservatory, studying under Professor Kristopher Tong. Alongside his performance training, Jackson has also gained teaching experience working with young violin students. He believes music education can inspire and transform lives, and he hopes to share classical music with underserved communities, especially those with limited access to live performances and music education.
