The Belgian soprano, Laure-Catherine Beyers, is highly interested in the music of the Second Viennese School, and has performed works by Schönberg and Berg in Vienna, Graz and Lausanne. She has been a finalist at such prestigious competitions as the Helmut Deutsch Wettbewerb in Vienna and received the Gérard-Souzay-Preis in New York.

Besides opera, she dedicates herself to the Lied and Mélodie repertoire, as well as contemporary chamber music. Alongside the Serbian pianist Ana Ostojić, she created the Duo Ardea, which was most recently awarded a special prize at the Schubert und die Musik der Moderne competition in Graz

She has been invited to perform as a soloist at the Vienna Musikverein, the Opéra de Lausanne, Songfest in Los Angeles and the Semaine du Neuf in Montréal.

Her upcoming projects include the title role in Eurydice by Manfred Trojahn, die Liebenden, blind with Neuen Oper Wien and The Medium by Peter Maxwell Davies in Lausanne.
