Margaret Gonglewski

Margaret Gonglewski (PhD, Georgetown University) is Associate Professor of German and International Affairs at the George Washington University, where she directs the German Language Program. She is co-author of Treffpunkt Deutsch, one of the top introductory German language textbooks in North America. Her research centers on language pedagogy, and she has published articles on topics such as effective uses of technology in language teaching and learning, and critical issues in materials creation and selection. Margaret’s current scholarly focus is on cross-disciplinary projects that link the study of language and culture to professional contexts, particularly international business and sustainability. Since 2020 she has served as primary editor of the academic journal Global Business Languages.
