Weifeng Zhao

Weifeng Zhao is a Chinese trumpeter currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and his Master’s from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.

Weifeng has served as a guest musician with the Shanghai Philharmonic and Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestras. He also served as the Brass Specialist at Dulwich College Shanghai. Weifeng has collaborated with many renowned artists such as Marin Alsop, Daniele Gatti, Mark Gibson, Lan Shui, and Martha Argerich. He has performed globally at prestigious venues such as the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Shanghai Symphony Hall, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Recital Centre, and Carnegie Hall.
