Cade Araza
Horn

Cade Araza is an undergraduate horn player studying at the Juilliard School with Eric Reed. A Phoenix, Arizona native, Cade was originally a classically trained pianist, but discovered his love for the French horn upon first hearing Phoenix Symphony principal hornist, Gabe Kovach. He studied with Gabe Kovach for the entirety of his high school career, and concurrently performed with the Phoenix Youth Symphony, directed and conducted by Matthew Kasper, as principal horn. In his collegiate endeavors, his brass quintet, Riverside brass, performs regularly with nursing homes and care facilities around Manhattan and Brooklyn. A mentor for the Juilliard Pre-college symphony and pre-college orchestra, Cade finds a calling to teaching and mentorship. He has performed in concert with the Juilliard Orchestra in Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the Peter J. Sharp Theatre. When not practicing, Cade enjoys his time outside on a mountain bike, or on his own two feet in hiking boots.
