Hyewon Shin

Hyewon Shin has amassed numerous achievements and accolades throughout her career as a Collaborative pianist.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Piano and Music Education from Konkuk University in Korea, followed by a Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano from Ewha Womans University, and completed further studies in Collaborative Piano at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in the United States.
From 2015 to 2020, she served as a collaborative pianist at the Young Musician Academy, sponsored by the Seoul City government, collaborating with gifted young musicians, including those identified as the ‘Future Gifted’ and students from esteemed Korean music schools such as Yewon School and Sunhwa Art School.
Hyewon has showcased her talents in concerts for vocalists at prestigious venues including the Sejong Cultural Center, Yeongsan Art Hall, and Seoul Dream Forest Art Center. She participated in Hartmut Höll’s masterclass at Ewha Womans University and Pierre Vallet’s masterclass while studying at the University of Cincinnati.
She has also performed in opera concerts, including “L’elisir d’amore” and “La boheme,” and played a concert series titled “<Trilogia di G.Verdi>,” where she presented performances of Rigoletto, La Traviata, and Il Trovatore accompanied by explanations. In 2022, Hyewon received the ‘Outstanding Lieder Collaborative Pianist Award’ at AIMS, where she currently participates as a repetitor.
