Jana Revels Young enjoys both a rich and varied performing career as well as a successful teaching career. Praised for her beautiful lyric singing, Ms. Young has sung extensively in the United States and Europe. As an active concert artist, Ms. Young has performed as soprano soloist in Mozart’s Coronation Mass, Great Mass in C minor, Vesperae solennes de confessore in C Major and Requiem, Poulenc Gloria, Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Die Schöpfung and Missa in tempore belli, Handel’s Messiah, Fauré Requiem, Bach St. Matthew Passion, Mahler Second and Fourth Symphonies, Beethoven 9th, Schubert Mass in C and G Major as well as many contemporary works such as “Ariel” by Ned Rorem with which she made her Carnegie/Weill Hall debut with the noted composer present.

Ms. Young is a recipient of the Max Orovitz Grant for Vocal Chamber Music, has served on the summer faculties of University of Miami in Salzburg, International Performing Arts Institute, Solfest Festival and KSU Summer Intensive.   She is a successful master teacher, master class artist, vocal chamber music specialist and noted adjudicator. Ms. Young’s students perform on both classical and music theater stages teach in colleges across the country, attend prestigious graduate schools, young artist programs and have won numerous competitions including the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Program. Ms. Young taught at the University of Miami and is currently an assistant professor of voice at Kennesaw State University outside Atlanta, Georgia.
