Meghan Roum
Summer Administrative Assistant

Meghan Roum graduated from Charleston Southern University with a Bachelors in Vocal Performance. Under the teaching of Dr. Jennifer Luiken at the Horton School of Music, Meghan sang in university choral ensembles, performed as a soloist twice for Carnegie Hall’s Link Up program with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, and participated in the National Association of Teachers of Singing competitions. Her roles during university include Ruth from Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance and Carmen from Curtains by Rupert Holmes, John Kander, and Fred Ebb. Later in her program, she enjoyed taking composition and orchestral conducting lessons in addition to her voice studies.

After graduation, Meghan performed in a brief tour around Austria and Italy with a small instrumental and vocal ensemble from the Horton School of Music. After the summer tour, she returned to South Carolina and now works for the Greenville Symphony Orchestra as the Assistant Orchestra Librarian. In recent years, she has sung in ensembles including Charleston Opera Theater’s production of L’elisir d’amore, North Greenville Choral Arts, and Chicora Voices. She participated in the Opera Studio at AIMS in 2023 and has returned as a Summer Administrative Assistant since 2024. When Meghan is not prepping performance materials, she is making syrup and creating seasonal drink menus for a local coffee shop or planning casual recitals with her friends.
