Rebecca Thomas

BA and MA in German from UCLA; PhD, The Ohio State University. Rebecca is Professor of German at Wake Forest University where she has taught German language, literature and culture since 1993. She has served as Departmental Chair of German and Russian, and has recently been appointed Associate Dean of the College. Her research and publications focus on contemporary Austrian studies. She has published on numerous contemporary Austrian writers including Gerhard Roth, Elfriede Jelinek, Doron Rabinovici and Kathrin Röggla. Her translation of Röggla’s novel “Wir schlafen nicht” was published by Ariadne Press in 2009. She has taught German at AIMS frequently since 1988.
