Theresa Zale Bridges
Oboe

Theresa Zale Bridges has been principal oboist with the Shreveport Symphony since 1988. A native of Rochester, NY, Theresa holds degrees from Northwestern University and the Eastman School of Music. She performs throughout the Ark-La-Tex, holding the principal oboe positions with the Texarkana, South Arkansas, and Marshall Symphonies. She has been a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and the National Repertory Orchestra, and has played with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Rochester Philharmonic, and the Richmond (VA) Symphony.

Theresa is also active as a chamber musician, performing with the Baroque Artists of Shreveport and the Shreveport Symphony Woodwind Quintet. She has appeared as a soloist with the Shreveport, Longview and South Arkansas Symphonies and with the Centenary College Orchestra, where she serves on the faculty. Theresa spends her summers playing in the orchestra of the American Institute of Musical Studies, a vocal institute in Graz, Austria. She was the recipient of the 1998 Music Fellowship from the Shreveport Regional Arts Council.
